Halloween is coming up soon! No costume? No worries! Here at Fox Moving we love making things easy, so we’ve created a fun and simple downloadable DIY fox mask!
Supplies you’ll need:
- Our D.I.Y. Fox Mask Printable
- Scissors
- Tape
- Ribbon
- Pipe Cleaners
Optional Supplies:
- Glue
- String
- Hole Punch
Step 1: Download & Print our D.I.Y. fox mask printable
For best results, we highly recommend printing the fox mask in color and on a cardstock or thicker weight paper.
Step 2: Cut out the fox mask & the eyes
Use scissors to carefully cut out the fox mask from the rest of the paper. You can choose whether or not to cut off the whiskers or cut around them. If you don’t want heavy, fuzzy pipe cleaners on your mask then feel free to cut around the whiskers for a more lightweight option. For our demonstration, we clipped off the whiskers to make room for the pipe cleaners.
Step 3: Punch out the string holes
Using a whole punch, X-ACTO knife, or tips of scissors, carefully punch out the black holes on each side of the mask. This is where the strap to hold up the mask on your head will go!
Step 4: Attach the string
Take a long piece of string or ribbon and cut it into two even pieces. Then loop the ribbons through the holes and tie the ends. You should be able to tie the two pieces together to fit around your head, so it’s best to measure before you cut the ribbon.
Step 5: Attach the whiskers
Grab your pipe cleaners and cut one or two pieces (depending on the length you want) into six small pieces. Then grab some tape or glue and attach them to the back of the mask where the whiskers were located.
Step 6: Put on your fox mask!
Tah-dah! Get ready to impress your friends with your awesome D.I.Y. costume! To complete the look you could wear an orange or maroon shirt, or put on a suit to become a dapper fox!
